Cristina has worked as a crisis counsellor, providing specialised support to people going through major life changes, grief processes, and emotional upheaval. Areas of Special Interest
Cross-Cultural and Migration Issues: Cristina has particular interest and consolidated experience in cross-cultural and migration-related issues. She offers psychological support to individuals navigating relocation and adapting to a new country and culture. Her work focuses on helping clients reconnect with their emotional stability and inner resources during periods of cultural transition.
Neurodivergence: One of Cristina’s passions is working with neurodivergent adults, mood and anxiety-related difficulties, emotional regulation, and relationship issues. Through counselling, Cristina supports individuals who navigated childhood, education, and professional life without adequate diagnosis or support, many of whom arrive at adulthood with a chaotic sense of identity, internalised shame, and the feeling of being “different” without understanding why. Cristina’s work focuses on helping them understand their inner world, recognise their strengths, and restructure a fragmented identity.
Therapeutic Approach: Cristina’s practice is grounded in neuroscience and shaped by a deep commitment to neurodiversity-affirming care. Her approach is warm, mature, collaborative, and client-centred.
Cristina Wildt is a counsellor registered with the ACA (Australian Counselling Association), holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Counselling.
