Our Counsellors and Couples Therapists

In addition to treatment and therapy with psychologists, we offer counselling with counsellors whose areas of expertise involve relationships and couple therapy, self worth, coping, stress, grief and loss, and a range of other issues. Counsellors’ skills involve helping people to achieve change, navigate life challenges and heal from difficulty and distress.

Why counsellors?

Whereas psychologists are trained to provide treatment and therapy for problems that can be classed as mental health conditions, such as mood or anxiety disorders, counsellors’ training focusses on broader life difficutlties such as relationship issues, life transitions or loss, and cultivating wellbeing, personal growth, meaning and change.

Cristina Wildt, who has been with our practice for several years, has a strong focus on relationships and couple therapy. She helps couples to heal wounds, reduce conflict, increase understanding and rekindle bonds. Cristina also works with indviduals to overcome hardship and build personal strength, self-worth and meaning.

In addition to training and skill in counselling, Cristina is supervised by experienced clinical psychologists, and is equipped to recommend treatment or therapy with a clinical psychologist for diagnosable mental health conditions where required.
