Claudia Giezen

Psychologist

Claudia is known for her energy and enthusiasm in supporting her clients. She is an experienced psychologist who applies a wide range of techniques in her provision of psychological therapies. Her solution-focused approach encompasses motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Claudia can assist clients with a range of presentations that include but are not limited to, anxiety, phobias, aggression, improving social skills, dealing with trauma symptoms, couple work, managing symptoms of ADHD, procrastination, workplace burnout and adjustment disorder.

Having previously worked as a support worker and behaviour support practitioner, Claudia has long supported individuals with their patterns of thought and behaviour. In particular, Claudia has been a lifelong advocate for the interests, rights, and well-being of persons with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Her insight into her clients’ lived experiences helped motivate her to study psychology and build her skills in therapy and group training.

She studied psychology and gained her registration with the University of Waikato in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2021. Claudia is registered with AHPRA, a member of the Australian Psychologist Society (APS), and a work development order (WDO) sponsor.

She has gained qualifications in Bachelor of Social Science, Masters in Applied Psychology (behaviour analysis) and Post-graduate Diploma in the Professional Practice of Psychology (Behaviour Analysis).
