Bruno Giusti Diaz

Psychologist, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Bruno’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, a Masters in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Master of General Healthcare Psychology from the European University of Madrid. Besides, being registered with AHPRA, he holds registration with the Psychology Board of Peru and the Psychology Board of Spain.

His main therapeutic approach is Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and he is also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and EMDR. He is fluent in English and Spanish and provides psychological services in both languages.

Bruno has vast experience working with individuals, couples and families to address relationship problems. He has supported clients going through high conflict separations and has worked with complex cases such as involuntary and court-ordered clients who have perpetrated or experienced domestic violence.

He also works with adjustment and mood disorders and has a particular interest in supporting people with complex trauma. Throughout his career, he has lived in multiple countries and worked with clients from over 30 nationalities using an intercultural and gender-informed approach. This has provided him with a particular understanding of the dynamics of migration and he has supported people experiencing difficulties adapting to new countries.

Besides working in private practice Bruno has worked providing consulting services to companies in Peru and Spain to address mental health in the workplace and has led community-based mental health projects with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in emergency areas in Nigeria, Yemen and Libya. In addition to his work at con fides Psychologists Sydney, he is also currently working for headspace, designing mental health strategies for communities affected by critical incidents such as suicides and natural disasters.
